Slave Ship

Slave Ship is a series of images that depict, in narrative form, the gradual emancipation from the world of slavery as expressed in the physical reality of the ship itself which culminates symbolically in the figure of Frederick Douglas followed by the gradual descent into the world of effective social bondage as expressed by the re-entanglement of the slave ship.
