Viktor Ullmann was a Czech-Austrian composer, pianist, and conductor whose career combined modernist innovation with expressive depth. Deported to Theresienstadt and later Auschwitz, he continued composing under persecution until he was murdered, leaving a courageous and enduring musical legacy.
