Gideon Klein was a Czech composer, pianist, and teacher whose career blended modernist innovation with lyrical expressiveness. A student of Alois Hába, he excelled in chamber music and piano works, exploring harmony and rhythm with sensitivity. Deported to Theresienstadt and later Auschwitz, for assisting many Jews in danger, his life and remarkable musical promise were tragically cut short.
