Hans Krása was a Czech composer whose career blended modernist wit, lyricism, and theatrical imagination. Best known for the children’s opera Brundibár, he created music of clarity and humanity. Deported to Theresienstadt, he continued composing under persecution before being murdered at Auschwitz, leaving a legacy of artistic resilience and cultural defiance.
